## Playlists

- [**Ambient, updated**](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/34flrPmHWvxWqlZpbgDfv7?si=c26b65b6dcbd42ea&ref=wlxpvn.com) – added a lot this month, mainly listened to ambient, working my way through some classic albums that I have in the backlog.

**note: (+++) is a very good playlist*

## Artists I played most

1. [**Global Communication**](https://open.spotify.com/artist/6YktolrgGPFMwWrmAgf4hu?si=VfyR6RF8Rf22Jc92wKAi7g&ref=wlxpvn.com)(very deep, floating ambient)
2. [**Guy Contact**](https://open.spotify.com/artist/5Xnqn9riXkAVyAwabBYi4F?si=h7vQH22JRA6a7qJ%5F20%5FMOA&ref=wlxpvn.com)(groovy, but also dreamy, cosmic house)
3. [**PJ Harvey**](https://open.spotify.com/artist/12VaqyEhgwDRuFfEqbnrpz?si=I-H4JgsZSrKdiwZtYx5%5FWg&ref=wlxpvn.com)(raw, emotional, poetic rock)

## Tracks I looped

- [**14:31 by Global Communication**](https://open.spotify.com/track/31NqxiLbyEYuH2voZoHk61?si=7d2d81640caf4d3f&ref=wlxpvn.com)(yes, it's 14 minutes and 31 seconds long)

## Mixes

[**RA.1000**](https://1000.ra.co/?ref=wlxpvn.com) – Resident Advisor’s signature mix series is at its 1000th entry. To celebrate, RA commissioned \~30 hours of new and unreleased sets from dream guests, returning icons, and scene heroes.

Although all of the sets look interesting, DJ Harvey B2B Andrew Weatherall looks especially cool.

> *"Andrew Weatherall’s first official posthumous mix, and the only b2b DJ Harvey ever agreed to."*

## Other

- Learned about the genre called [**dance punk**](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/21CkWrUQxyHGIZSidaZKvh?si=dfe9b60f4a324efd&ref=wlxpvn.com)**.** It is basically punk energy that you can dance to, funky basslines and drum grooves similar to disco or funk. Punk minus chaos?
- I saw [**Autechre**](https://open.spotify.com/artist/6WH1V41LwGDGmlPUhSZLHO?si=4azrACLRTsWspBJtfS4l2A&ref=wlxpvn.com) live in Berlin, and they never let you predict their next sonic move. Just when you thought you had found a rhythm to hold onto, they would glitch it apart. If you tried to dance on autopilot, you would lose the beat because they gave you something familiar only to take it away again. The set demanded full attention; you had to really listen.
